Coming up the Red Sea Skylax was limping along.
Not mortally wounded but licking her wounds. After over 30,000 miles on her
circumnavigation there was general wear and tear and
worse, some wounds we had inflicted on her...

win the Türkiye Kupası.

The fertile Plains of the Menderes, or the Meandros
form the northern borders of Caria...
"This road leads to the sea". Only a sloppy
expression? Or a memory of generations? Well, this may
be only a coincidence, but how about the eels in the
Lake of Bafa, at Kapkiri, the town which used to be
Herakleia and used to produce many a fine triremes for
the Ionian fleet?

As published on 22.8.2009 in the Official Announcer of
Turkey, two significant steps have been arranged by the
Government now in order to encourage the Turkish Ensign
for Turkish benefited yachts. According to a Cabinet
Decision, the VAT has been fixed to 1% and the Luxury
Consumption Tax has been put away with.

According to a communication by the Directorate of Transport (dated 02.04.2009 and number 10859) it is planned that Transitlogs are issued digitally and vessels will receive only a printout. As of 15 April 2009 arrangements are made at the branches of the Sea Trade Chambers and at the Harbour Masters Offices in order to faciltate the required digital input...
